Today was a very busy day! So busy, that I didn't have a chance to take many pictures. Olivia & I were on the go all day. Since Monday is the day we've allotted for most of our chores, I tried to get as much done this morning as possible. We left the house not long after Daddy came home for his breakfast break. We picked up Jessica A. and went to the Squadron Memorial service. It was a beautiful morning, and a very touching ceremony.
Afterwards Olivia & I came home and worked on the rest of our chores until Daddy came home. Then it was a quick change and we headed out to do some errands. Then back home & more chores & back out again - this time to the gardens. Unfortunately we missed the staff & were unable to get into the greenhouses, etc. So we went back home and had dinner. Tonight Olivia put herself to bed - so to speak. I nursed her and cuddled her, but she never fell asleep as soundly as usual. So I laid her down in the crib and she quietly went to bed. It was a good day.

Not only did Olivia put herself to sleep last night, but today she put herself down for a nap. Noon rolled around and she hadn't napped yet and was starting to rub her eyes, etc. I tried, again, to cuddle her to sleep but ended up laying her down and she drifted off. She is such a big girl. I'm glad that she (presumably?) understands that the crib is 'for sleeping'.
Later we had lots of 'naked time' in the nursery. She sure loves to be naked! And then it was off to bed.
Wednesday, May 16th
Today I woke up with a sore throat and the delightful symptoms escalated throughout the day. I think it's safe to say that I have a cold. Yuck. Unfortunately it was also a day that Adam had to work late, so relief from 'Olivia duty' was a long way off. Not that she's a chore, I just hope that I didn't get her sick. Poor baby was confused as to why I wasn't smooching her as much as usual. I know this because when I finally did get close to her face she would grab onto my nose or my lip with an iron grip.
To help pass the time we did some errands. We got some things to make for our friends, the Czepiels, tonight; some more pinch bowls since they seem to be the perfect size for feeding Olivia; some new baby spoons because the ones we have seem to be wearing through the plastic - strange!; and some packaged baby food to keep in Olivia's diaper bag & for our future travels.
At home we had a headband fashion show. My mother had saved all of Kari's & my bows, barrettes & bands. Some are too big, or too small, for Olivia right now but we took out all the appropriate ones. She looked pretty darling!
Then it was more naked time and as soon as I turned my back what should happen?! Olivia rolled from her back to her front ALL BY HERSELF! Amazing! I was even able to get a picture. Good work Olivia!
In the evening when Daddy was home she had a bath & then some more avocados & bananas. Then a little milk & to bed.
