This morning we started our day with a nice long phone conversation with Uncle Grant. I'm very excited to say that he's agreed to be Olivia's godfather and Kari has agreed to be her godmother. Olivia is so fortunate to have them as moral & spiritual guides and Adam & I couldn't ask for godparents who love her more.

After chatting with Uncle Grant, Olivia & I tidied up the house and went upstairs to put on a special outfit. Today we had a Skype date planned with Daddy & Veronica was on her way with lunch. What a treat! It was a beautiful day today; a warm -5. It was so warm, in fact, that in Olivia's room I almost wanted to open a window. (I didn't!) Olivia enjoyed laying in her crib and on the changing table where she could look at a colorful scene illuminated by the bright afternoon sun. I dressed Olivia in a cute outfit from Veronica that said "Daddy's Girl", but unfortunately it only lasted for a few minutes. There was a diaper incident and we had to change her clothes. Veronica had to settle for seeing it in pictures. (I seem to take a few!) It was nice to catch up and for her to get to spend some time with Olivia. This is the first real time she's had with Olivia since visiting us in the hospital.

We were very lucky and got to Skype with quite a few family members today. We saw Tessa, Max & Ellie, and Aunty Lisa. They shared all sorts of fun toys with Olivia and Tessa even recited poetry. Max was particularly chatty today. I think they were all a little more interested in Olivia because she was awake for this conversation...well, most of the time. After that we got to talk to Daddy for a few minutes before the Afghani weather interrupted the satellite service and ended our call. We're thankful for any time that we get to see him! Next to stop in on Skype were Mimi & Pop. Pop got to see that Olivia was wearing a "Grandpa's Favorite" onesie. She looked pretty cute! Once again she made us laugh with her funny sleepy maneuvering. The 'Olivia Show' is very entertaining.

Tonight I made Olivia a new headband. I'm going to try and do one in all the colors of the rainbow.
We had some sad news today. Uncle Jim Dodd passed away. I'm sad that Olivia will miss meeting him and we're sending all our cousins & Aunt Karyl all our love.
