I guess the doctor was right about Olivia needing more food!
I came down in the morning and found Olivia ‘eating’ the dining room table! It
was such a beautiful day that Daddy & Olivia took the dogs on a walk around
the neighborhood while I finished some new wall art for Olivia’s room. I also
painted rainbow clothespins for her room, for miscellaneous projects – artwork in
the future, clothes, etc.
In the afternoon we went to the garden & did some
weeding. It was a very productive day – thanks to Olivia’s cooperation!
Monday, July 2nd

This morning Olivia & I took the car in for some routine
service at Kendall. Afterwards we brought Daddy some breakfast. Once we got
home, we hung up the antique advertising letters to spell Mulvey in the front
entrance. Olivia played in the kitchen with her wooden spoon & Bertram
serenaded us while I washed the massive spinach & lettuce harvested
yesterday. It started to rain pretty heavily so Olivia & I picked the
peonies from the front garden.
When Daddy got home he made beautiful spinach omelets for
dinner. I love our life.

Today we did A LOT of shopping! The shopping cart cover from
the Klancke’s worked perfectly, now that she’s getting a little bit too heavy
for me to carry in her car seat. We wanted to be prepared for the holiday in
case any company dropped by. This included some porch & deck
beautification. By the end of the day we had a pretty little sitting area,
complete with a water feature for Olivia.
Wednesday, July 4th

Olivia spent the morning with Daddy while I went out with
the Abel ladies. She played with her rocking horse. I can’t wait until she’s
big enough to really ride it. It was a little rainy outside, so Olivia had a 'picnic' on the living room floor with Eagle. I think she was worried Eagle might eat her fabric watermelon! (I don't blame her!)
Happy Independence Day!
Thursday, July 5th

When I went into Olivia’s room this morning I found Olivia
standing up and holding on to the railings! She’s trying to escape! I guess it’s
time to lower her mattress!
Today was the sunny day that we should’ve had yesterday – so
we spent the whole day at the garden. Let’s soak up all the sunshine that we
can!
Friday, July 6th

Olivia’s Molly croaked today. So we went back and this time
we got her two 29
¢
goldfish. Let’s hope these last a little longer than the last two fish (including a goldfish I got there last year). Then we
walked over to Barnes & Noble and got Olivia some pop beads. In the evening
I finished up Sarah’s birthday banner. I can and can’t wait, all at the same
time, for Olivia’s birthday parties!
I'm also glad that Olivia is starting to show interest in the dogs. She likes them and they like her!
Saturday, July 7th
We’re really enjoying a new group called Punk Rock
Homesteading. This morning they shared a link for free kindle ebooks about
homesteading/farming. It’s great to dream about our farm and the kind of future
that we want to provide for Olivia.
We spent the afternoon celebrating Sarah’s birthday! I love
that little girl so much!
