Today was our first day by ourselves. We woke up at our usual times and spent the hours in between feedings sleeping, which was really nice for me. Olivia didn't seem to mind either. We roused ourselves around noon and spent the rest of the day in quiet pursuits. Olivia stared at books and swung in the swing. Her two new activities today were playing with my hair and grabbing my lip. Both of which amused me as much as it did her.
Another new thing for Olivia today was that she had to take her vitamins. She now takes 1ml of liquid vitamins daily. This is mostly to supplement her vitamin D intake. Although she was a very brave girl and took the vitamins without spitting them up, I don't think she really liked them.
We took a short trip to McDonald's for a late lunch/dinner & just to see how we did on our own. I give us an A+. No fuss for the car seat and I have figured out a method for getting in and out of the garage without having to fight with the heavy door to the mud room. Excellent.
We worked on some projects: picture cds for family without internet, updating the photo album, working on Olivia's Baby Book. Then we spent the rest of the day snuggling and watching Swiss Family Robinson. I hope Olivia does not turn out like Francis.
Apart from a little fussing late tonight - I think she was mostly fighting the urge to sleep - Olivia was angelic all day. And even her 'fussing' was not inconsolable. In fact, right now I'm rocking her little sleeper with my foot and she's staying asleep. I'd say that today was a rousing success!
Just look at that face - does not like the vitamins! LOL Cory had jaundice after he was born, and I remember the doctor telling me to let him sleep under a sunny window. If you have that option, and it is warm enough to do so, that would also be a good way to get Vitamin D for her. I can't get enough of the photos you are taking of her! Such a sweetie, and I do think she looks like daddy.
