Today Olivia was very relaxed. She must have used all her energy yesterday and during the night. Maybe she was growing - she seems a little longer today. Perhaps it's just that she's realized she's no longer confined and can spread out.
She spent at least an hour and a half in the new swing. Although she closed her eyes from time to time, she spent most of the time looking around, amusing herself. She also had fun playing with the soft bunny that is on the swing harness. It was entrancing to watch her explore the bunny with her tiny fingers.
Bertram liked the singing bird sounds at first, but then he grew tired of it. I think he decided the bird was dumb because it kept saying the same thing over and over again.
She spent a lot of time playing with Mimi while I got to take a shower. I'm feeling more and more like a person. I even put on real people clothes, after my mother pointed out that everything I had been wearing was saturated with milk. I probably attracted every baby within a three mile radius. I bet I 'set off' the babies at Wal-Mart yesterday. At any rate, it was nice to get cleaned up.
We had a visit from the Abel ladies this evening. They brought a delicious pizza dinner (thank you!) and Olivia sat next to the table in her bouncy seat and examined everything. She was quiet throughout the whole meal. What a good baby!
Then we spent the rest of the evening relaxing. Olivia stretched out on my lap. She got a nice massage with lotion. In all, it was a lovely day.
